To Pig Lane via Big Foot

We would always do this route starting at the village hall and then going via Grump Street. At the gate at the bottom of Humpty Dumpty take a right turn and then left up the hill to Pig Lane.

There is a spring on the path at the top of this hill where, on one of our very first walks, Jan's boots became twice the size due to mud. Hence our naming it Big Foot.

Pig Lane is often muddy even on dry days.

This route avoids Humpty Dumpty only because at this time of year, April, the cows are often there.

A good circuit for all those serious runners with a hill climb and then recovery coming back down Foxcote Hill.

Both Big Foot and Foxcote Hills are very steep.
