Pig Lane

Another classic Ilmington route. Doable either way round but for a different set of views I'd suggest going up Foxcote Hill first and then you get the different views on the way down Campden Pitch

On Campden Pitch is Stonecrop, a grade 2 listed building. The house was designed in 1955 by the local architect Robert Harvey for himself and his family. It was largely self-built with the help of family and friends to offset costs and incorporates a quantity of recycled building material including wood and plate glass which were used partially due to the shortages of building materials at the time and also due to financial constraints.

Great views of Ilmington as you go passed The Orchards. The Original main road into Ilmington goes off left across Payne's Piece towards the church and on down Middle Street.

Both Hills are steep and Pig Lane can be very muddy even in dry weather.
