ROUTES

CONSIDERATIONS WHILST USING THESE ROUTES

  • If possible take the OS Map of Ilmington with you to make sure you are keeping to the designated paths

  • If you have not exercised previously then start slowly, with shorter distances and build up

  • Wear bright clothing to be seen by drivers and carry torches/head torches at night

  • Please keep your dog on a lead at all times whilst exercising especially when crossing farm land

  • Make sure gates are closed to keep live stock in fields

  • If wet, stick to the roads and leave the grass paths to the dry days

The maps in these routes were created using the OS app, which is fantastic and I highly recommend for all you cartography nerds. All maps are © Crown copyright OS and are for recreational use only.

The routes are sorted by distance and not difficulty. There is some detail with each route that tries to give an idea of how challenging they are, basic direction information and what sights to look out for whilst doing them. The timings on the routes are for guidance only and they are based on a running pace of 10 minute miles. Roughly double the timings if you are walking the routes. All distance and timings are approximate. Routes are intended as ideas and a starting point. Combine, edit and change to suit your individual requirements.

  • If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times
