A great 10k route. Just be careful on a couple of the roads.
Leave the Red Lion and go down Front Street. Turn right towards Armscote. Be careful on this road as cars tend to drive very quickly.
Passed The Old Wharf, once associated with the now removed Moreton to Stratford and Shipston to Stratford tramway/railway, and continue towards Armscote.
On reaching Armscote keep left passed the pub. At the next sharp left hand bend turn right towards Blackwell.
Follow the road all the way to Blackwell. Take the first right through Blackwell village and continue up the road. Pass the solar park on the right and on reaching the Shipston Road turn left. Be careful of cars.
At the next right turn, turn right, up passed Junction Cottage, situation at the site of the old railway/tramway junction of the Moreton to Stratford and Shipston........ you get the idea.
On reaching Harolds Farm Road turn right. Continue on and turn left up Washbrook Place, returning you back to the Red Lion.
A nice 10k but really only made possible because of the reduced traffic. The slope back up from Blackwell is not steep but is quite long as it doesn't really finish until you get back to Ilmington.
