Another route to Ebrington but via some little used paths across Nebsworth and Ebrington Hill.
Leave Ilmington up Campden Hill and continue passed the aerials and The Downs House. At the top of this rise in the road there is a 5 bar gate with a small parking place. Go through the kissing gate and follow the path into the woods. Bear right in the woods and the path takes you into a field. Follow the path on the left side of the field and it eventually will turn left towards some more woods.
Turn left down the driveway for 50m and then turn right into the woods on the sign posted path. Through the woods, follow the path across and then down into Ebrington.
Upon reaching the stable area, generally with fields of horsed and your left and right, do not join the main Ebrington Road but turn sharp left and follow the path across the back of Ebrington.
This eventually joins a road. Turn left and the road becomes Nash's Lane and takes you onto the Foxcote Estate. Follow the track and it will become the main drive. Go passed Foxcote House, along the main drive and through the main gates. Turn left down Foxcote Hill and follow the road back to the village.
The steep hills are at the beginning and end of this route. The track after leaving Campden Pitch can be quite muddy. Look out for badgers.
